Kirk Wilson (on left), Mayor of Carlisle and press secretary for
the Pa Historical & Museum Commission recently awarded Jim Washington,
Executive Director of Hope Station with the Pa Historical & Museum
Commission "Local Hero" award. This award was for his outstanding
contributions towards the betterment of the African American Community
of Central Pennsylvania, leading to improvement of the region's quality
of life, history and culture.
